Bloons TD 6 - Bizarre Bazaar Battle with Adora Version 28.0
This is based off of the "Forward Thinking" Odyssey level from some time back. Challenge Code is ZMFLRUU if you're interested.
For those wondering why I record this, there have been plenty of complaints about Full Auto Rifle/Elite Defender no longer being able to damage Leads. Apparently, ED was once able to solo Deflation, because clearly Spy Spectre doing that on Cornfield was perfectly balanced. Spy Spectre has you noting how the velocity issues lead to hilarity with spaced Ceramics and Spectre STILL got nerfed out of being usable in Deflation. What's Elite Defender's excuse, really, when it got a price DECREASE in return for no longer being able to pop Leads? The only thing I'm realizing is how this nerf was undoubtedly to make sure that ED would not be an easy solution to DDTs from a side effect of giving Lead damage to a rapid fire tower with infinite range and group control. Yes, he now has to choose between Lead damage or Camo detection for himself.
Admittedly, I was checking things out here to address my own doubts, but it turns out that the Camo Prioritization feature MORE than makes up for the Lead loss, such that I was able to go ahead and go top crosspath on the Neva-Miss Targeting. What happens? Well, quite simply, the rapid fire Sniper munches all of the relevant Camos other than Round 59's Camo Leads, which get stumped by my fire Mage who I put on the Camo path. He doesn't have to worry about non-Camo targets getting mixed in; everything else at worst stalls the non-Camo stuff long enough that they won't reach the exit before the Sniper turns his attention upon them. It's funny how a feature like this is given to the path that wouldn't provide the Lead damage ability for the tower with the loss of such that everybody is complaining about.
Now Round 63 does involve Leads and that can mess with ED when the Ceramic clusters are already a problem in their own right, but if you have the Fire Mage hug the north path to where he'd place his Wall of Fire on it, the first cluster still can be tanked out, which allowed me to save Phoenix for the 3rd cluster. This is ultimately the biggest concern, but not a hopeless one to combat.
I should also note that I used the Numpad for pixel-based tower placement via using Num Lock to activate the mouse movement keys. This can come across as cheating, but this method is VERY slow because I swear that the taps don't register sometimes, and even if they did all the time, you'd still have to pixel hunt for the precise location so it's basically zoomed in movement. Here, this is relevant for the Mage and the Boat, though once both are placed, I'm not having to worry about this.
Oh yeah, one other thing: this is doable with Spy path for Spectre, which cuts out having to use Phoenix on Round 78's Camo Ceramic cluster, but I went DPS path to save myself trouble with the 80s. Spectre is overall buffed against the 80s anyway thanks to improved Ceramic damage; Spy Spectre path merely mitigates some of the Pierce nerfing that it got, which isn't important, but it IS something.
