Just a bit of a quickie to showcase a few points. A few rules for the purposes of this:
-No Intense Magic (Camo from Monkey Sense)
-No Faster Production (better Camo from Spactory)
-No Spectre (enough said)
-Phoenix may not be used on Camos
-Spiked Mines price assumed to be $2700 extra

First off, you might notice that I didn't get Guiding Magic until after getting rid of all of Round 4's cluster Blues. This is because the provided homing can cause the shots to end up going after bloons you absolutely need them not to. Try it out yourself if you don't believe me, because GM can actually be completely working against you, which is not welcome in a situation that already demands enough precision. As it is, I'm already having to make sure I place the Mage so that his range simply touches the very tip of the northeast rock in the cluster; otherwise, he becomes too unreliable with getting rid of the cluster Blues at all.

Now a T1/M1 Mage can still handle Round 4 if he's right by the river, but that will have him out of Rallying Roar's range assuming Pat is kept in the nice little corner I place him in. At least this would help any other Hero though, and Gwendolin in the same corner would still reach him with Heat It Up. Also, while the following Rounds do have micromanagement involvement, they aren't as bad as Round 4 and that's the end of the decisive problems for a while.

Next is Round 56. Spy Neva-Miss and Fast Spiked Mines would normally mince the Camo Rainbow flood even without the Rallying Roar boost on the former, but here, Spiked Mines instead has the Smart Spikes path, which guarantees that they'll be overwhelmed. This makes the whole thing unreliable, and the end result is that I'm having to time the Rallying Roar boost so that it boosts the Ace when his shots will hit Zebras, which are the biggest pain because they and the Blacks that are the direct children laugh off the Spiked Mines' explosions. Obviously, Phoenix would mince this Round by not needing Monkey Sense, but considering this is for showing about balance woes, I'm kind of setting up a rule to block out that obvious solution. It certainly shows how ATROCIOUS the Smart Spikes path is.

Let me put this out there: unless the map is helping it actively, Smart Spikes is only better than Faster Production when it helps either within the first 10 seconds of a Round or after about 80 seconds of it. Most Rounds last inbetween those 2 benchmarks, and in those Rounds, Smart Spikes is going to be worse off. The closest it comes to being useful is Round 76's completely abrupt Regrow Ceramic cluster, and it's not by an incredible margin, certainly not enough to justify being weaker on Rounds where blimp quantity is a thing.

This brings up the latter 70s in general. 75 already has me update the Mage's Targeting actively, particularly to maneuver the start of Round Phoenix while also getting rid of MOABs. I also need to make sure that I have the Phoenix active at the start of 76 AND use Rallying Roar then or the Regrow Ceramics overwhelm me. 77 is also obnoxious, because the BFB cluster can create a MOAB flood if not handled properly. Phoenix would be an obvious solution if I didn't need it for 78's first Ceramic cluster which even if I were to survive that, it would STILL undermine the Spiked Mines to where the Camo Ceramic cluster would just finish me off. That's 4 Rounds in a row capable of causing so many problems and it's not like 79 is a entirely a free ride because the Regrow Rainbow flood can still keep pressuring you to use activations, though if you get to 79 with this, it should be tame enough in comparison while you'd just have to survive long enough.

By the way, I learned that Spiked Mines' timeout explosions are actually double attacks. An undamaged regular Ceramic would take no extra damage because of that. Oops. Also, no matter what, the timeout explosion would be hard to buff standalone. However, there ARE buff ideas...
