I finally finished it. Sadly, the ending is rather abrupt, and the game makes it blatantly obvious there is NOTHING else to do except restart in True Vault Hunter mode, or play some DLC (not available in the VR game, sadly).

The final fight was easy, I think, because I was level 31 instead being a more usual level like 27 or so (Jack and the Warrior are locked at level 32). I would have liked for the rising lava to be more of a threat in more places, and for me to be forced to leave my perches because of Warrior breath or something. I also spent a little time examining the environment when the Warrior fight started, which maybe I shouldn't have had so much time to do. All lessons for game design. It was clear I was more concerned about losing all the dropped loot because of the game ending (it doesn't despawn - it's still there after the credits).

I ended up going mainly dual shotguns, which are really nice, especially when you get a multi-ammo usage, low magazine size shotgun with anything you can do to reload faster (skills, artifacts) and the Money Shot skill, which adds more damage when you are firing the last shot of your magazine before reloading. It trivialized a lot of fights. I complement with a launcher and a sniper rifle for occasional hard or distant fights.

I'm not sure how much I'll go through True Vault Hunter mode. I am curious what a level 50 Jack fight will be like. I know the weapons get pretty ridiculous at the higher levels. I'm not entirely interested in the Pre-Sequel, even though it would be a lot more content to chew though. But I'll have to play that in flatscreen.

Update: I've played through a bit of True Vault Hunter Mode, getting up to the point where I met Lilith. But the fights are pretty much rocket tag right now - either enemies die fast, or my shield gets consumed from a couple shots and I go into Fight For Your Life quickly thereafter. Maybe it's because I haven't tried other weapon types like pistols, assault rifles or SMGs to see what they can really do and instead stuck with mostly shotguns. But I haven't found particularly interesting weapons either, just some launchers with major damage, which can be nice but aren't practical. So the gameplay itself right now isn't all that rewarding.
