Time to face another asterisk holder! Said asterisk hasn't been of any use to me at all though - I haven't even bothered to earn any JP in this class (not even job lv. 2 or something).

This is the first boss we face in chapter 2, and the stat spike is huge - Aimee has 30K HP, which is almost three times as much as Minette, the healthiest boss of the first proper chapter. However, Minette and her cat had 18K HP for both of them, and them acting together made things difficult. Still, for a battle during which I've finally switched over to magic for good for, this was actually pretty risky and gruesome.

Hawkeye doubles its accuracy, making evasive measures useless - Turn Tables that I have equipped on everybody (because what else can I give them that they'd use here? aside from farming a ton of JP for far superior alternatives that is) will never trigger, and I'm actually not sure why I still have shields on my two casters instead of a second rod, as magic potency would be more valuable than anything else a shield grants here. It's either inertia or me simply not having the rods, I forget which it is because I recorded this quite a while ago. Fairly sure I switch over to double rods (and occasionally even triple rods) starting from the next fight though.

Having spent a bit more time mastering abilities, I now possess Red Mage's Revival, which for this run is in all ways superior to Revenge, and the two can be used together even. For one, its activation rate is the same as Stand Ground's - 75%, but unlike Revenge, it's triggered by its user being reduced to critical HP, as opposed to simply suffering damage. A lot of damage suffered does reduce us to critical, often with 1 HP, and proccing Revival is a huge boon. It also gives 2 BP instead of Revenge's 1, and takes up half as much skill space. Incredible skill on characters who aren't terribly busy maximising damage output with other skill combos, basically.

Damage Dispersion does little for me now however. It no longer prevents OHKOs (Stand Ground can still do that), so its only use is as a combo with Revenge (the Freelancer support bois have the space for this) since taking 15% damage with DD can still proc Revenge.

Now, Aimee has one strength that is also her weakness. She likes using multi-target attacks on the party, Maverick and Sidewinder. Maverick has decreased priority, so it can put me into big trouble - use Maverick on the party after I had healed, and then Sidewinder next turn - characters who were previously reduced to 1 HP are now OHKO'd without a chance to proc Stand Ground, and SG can fail as well. Luckily, Maverick is a bit weak and only really threatens Yew with his low HP.

The good thing about this is that Sidewinder costs 1 BP, so Aimee will have a turn during which she does nothing at all, allowing me to get out of terrible situatons which do occur several times during the fight.
