BZCC Total Command Mod Gameplay - Mission SS17: The Ultimate Quake
The destruction of the Fury Factory and its Geothermal Power Plants destabilized the core of Achilles. It seemed that the unlikely scenario of a human victory became true, but the Furies were already heading to a High-Speed Transport Rocket, located somewhere to the north. The NSDF ordered a full evacuation of their deployed forces on Achilles, although Grizzly 1 and his platoon will have to stay behind and take out the Fury Transport before its launch, thus preventing the Furies from escaping. The plan is to build a strike force, destroy the Fury Transport by taking out its Thrusters, and return to the NSDF Base before the moon explodes.
There are two access ways to the target. The path to the west is shortest but the Furies use this path constantly as their escape route. The other path is to the north, which is longer and harder to traverse with a large squad, but the Furies use it less. There won't be any reinforcements this time around. Grizzly 1 will have to rely on the units he can get built to meet his objectives and return home alive. Will he make it?
This mission is very tough to start. Being attacked from the get-go by three Athos Furies, despite them showing up one by one, is a very steep slope to climb. Then, having to leave the base without finishing its setup is another complication that almost got it destroyed when the Furies attacked my then exposed flank. Having to spend the first 20 minutes on just securing the base tells a lot of the mission's difficulty, let alone trying to assemble a large enough force to launch an attack with limited time to proceed. However it feels nice when the plan works out in the end. The original version doesn't have the Furies constantly harassing the NSDF Base, but it won't let have time or resources to build defenses around it, so you'll lose if you take too long in destroying the Fury Transport or the Furies follow your Scavengers to your base while you're still out there. I would say both versions are quite similar in difficulty, which is very hard, appropriate for a game's last mission.
Thus concludes the Bio-metal War, as well as the videos for this mod. I think I'll take a break from uploading videos of this game, as I intend to play other games to keep progressing in my other series and this mod was quite long. It already turned my playlist of Battlezone Combat Commander my longest one here on YouTube. I guess it's time to upload stuff about something else in the near-future. And I'm not counting the time my University duties will consume as I need to catch up in my thesis and its derived works.
See you in the next video!
