I spotted, shot and looted three Zombies on the road right by the Cooling Tower. I checked my PDA map and saw the Bandit who had Tukare'vs Basic Tools was crossing the Bridge going from Limansk to the Red Forest. I returned to the Mobile Lab, sorted my loot and went back outside in time to catch two Monolith going by the upper road right by Volkhov. It was an encounter that almost killed me as the Monolith are fanatical fighters and good shots. After looting them I looked to the south and saw some friendly forces in the swampy area just north-east of the Bandit's Container Yard. I ran down there to meet them finding a four-man Clear Sky squad that I made my Companions so I could bring them back to the Mobile Lab.

There I started selling all four of them the big pile of used weapons I had collected and needed to clear out. After doing so, I released them as Companions, and they left the Mobile Lab, and they went back south. Keeping an eye on Kopachy Village, I saw an Ecologist and a Loner walking around. I went out to talk to the Loner and he gave me a job to guide him to a nearby area which turned out to be across the bridge in Zaton by the Ranger Station. As I was not ready to go back to Zaton yet, I brought him back to the Mobile Lab. I left again going south to see if I could see the progress of the Clear Sky squad I had recently released.

I found an Ecologist by the road to the train station from the Parking Lot and then I continued on to return to the Train Station that I did not fully explore. I was expecting it to be repopulated with Zombies like in Call of Chernobyl but it was empty. Going inside the second room, I found the boarded up section where I had gone no further, to be free of the wooden boards and open. Someone else had gone in. I found an L-85 rifle dropped on the ground so most likely someone had died here. Not find any bodies, or any mutants, this must have happened some time before. I decided to go deeper.

Traveling through the many passages and corridors of the underground Ventilation Complex, I came across the illusion or should I say Delusion Fields, that once I found the pattern to the journey I finally arrived in the final room where I found the Heart of Oasis. I grabbed it on the ground where I saw it and quickly went up the ladder. I was suddenly in the attack of a Karlik. The phantom Karlik projections distorted the area around me and the colors of a psionic field engulfed me. I couldn't see the Karlik which was good as it couldn't blast me with it's powerful energy. I went up the next ladder and was at the top and free of it's spell. I made a manual save and then descended to kill it.
