Man, Dr. Thrax's Scourges are REALLY nice artillery. Unfortunately, everything else about him feels a bit subpar in SHW, but he still has all the GLA staples.

'General' Notes:
1. Infantry: The gattling turrets and bunkers are pretty tough to break with any general without using artillery or SWs, but if you have an answer to them, you can do whatever into the front of the main base as long as it can deal with infantry hordes and buildings(and maybe mines).
2. Laser: Honestly, any GLA general could probably just angry mob even without artillery breaking into the front, though you might still want it to take out the towers with the missile troops and snipers. An alternate GLA strategy is to destroy the Particle Cannons(double SW, or some have general powers) and tunnel into the middle, just make sure you have anti air for the copters!
3. Stealth: Probably don't even need the artillery here since you just have so many angry mob units a single sniper can't deal with them all, but it doesn't hurt. Can definitely make it to the scud storm in time though it's annoying keeping the vans alive for demo traps. Think I killed more of my own units here than the enemy with the leftover toxins, whoops!
4. Superweapons: I forgot my old GLA strategy of SWing the back then tunneling in at first, but still used it to effect here. Really just a hassle of a Generals Challenge level because of the map design, but at least SHW gives most Generals tools and a bridge to deal with her.
5. Nuke: Bomb trucks kind of doing work here, even if Thrax's are more about lasting toxins instead of the big booms. Could probably beat this whole level with just those! Hard to really push into his base when he stockpiles Helixes and Overlords with nuke cannons scattered about with conventional strategies. Not that it's impossible or even difficult, but it is annoying with the jank.
6. Air: Still disappointed my infantry rush strategy doesn't work anymore since he starts with his base powered now unlike in the base Shockwave Mod, but mass infantry after taking out the cluster bombers should work fine, as long as you mix in any units that can deal with the patriots. Also, bet you never saw angry mobs taking out Raptors on takeoff!
7. Tank: same as always, rocket launcher trooper rush the center and build a supply lead, and push either side with artillery and something to deal with all his tanks. Learned he's one of the Generals who actually uses his SW on something besides just your Command Center, which is honestly good knowledge to have!
8. Demo: Game is really showing it's age with that toxin bike vs missile launcher jank. Definitely a harder mission with no access to air units for easy defense. Sometimes he shoots your units behind his CC with buggies and the like, and other times he doesn't. I'm not sure what triggers there are. Maybe the AI type(if there are multiple options) is randomly selected at mission start or something?
9. Armor: Everything is held together with duct tape, hopes/dreams, and garrisoned RPG troopers. Is it me, or is he getting tougher?
10. Salvage: He's really not that bad to fight. I think anyone can just send a massive force either, or both ways with some detection and could win with most compositions(infantry might be hard since his mortar defenses are pretty AoE heavy). Remembered to use the tunnel network effectively this time instead of just placing them for fun, I really need to use them more, but they're so micro heavy.
11. Special Weapons: Look, I know the SWs can be cheap, but you really don't want to face her when she gets the AI that actually uses her General powers and rebuilds quickly when you don't take out all 3 Command Centers at once. That's before dealing with all the mines on the empty side of the battlefield, or her massive defensive positions all the way over. Save yourself 30 minutes of your life and just make the SWs to win, I might show how annoying it is in the next China General video. GLA has tunnel at least, and USA air. GL China.
