C&C YR Red Resurrection 2.2 - Allied Mission 8, Free Gateway [Red Alert 2]
YR Red Resurrection 2.2 for C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge is a mod that was released in April 1st of 2018 by Omegabolt. Allied Campaign Mission 8, Free Gateway from the original Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 single player campaign with some additional features listed in the modification's website. The modification uses Yuri's Revenge as its base for the rules.
Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for C&C Red Alert 2, released in the October 2001. It contains 7 missions for both Soviets and the Allies, it's focused around time travelling back in time to stop Yuri's secret plan of dominating the world by activating secretly constructed Psychic Dominator devices during the war. Missions are way harder than these in vanilla Red Alert 2 campaign but are still much easier than those in C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 3.3 or C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 2.0. There was also planned a campaign for Yuri but it was scrapped due to the time constraints.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.
The Soviets are almost finished Commander, however they make one of their last stands in the USA in St. Louis, Missouri. They've built the Psychic Beacon in the middle of the city and keep the civilian population hostage, you need to destroy the Beacon before time is up. You have 20 ingame minutes to destroy the Psychic Beacon with your elite taskforce, way too much I believe because you can go straight for the Beacon without problems. Destroy the walls, Barracks and the Tesla Reactors using the barrels nearby and then send the Tanya to destroy remaining Tesla Reactors in the area. Once there are no Tesla Reactors around (you must destroy all of them because Tanya must be alive), destroy the Psychic Beacon and wait for the Allied reinforcements. The reinforcements come from the river and they are made of the two Prism Tanks, few MBTs and some GIs with MCV for you to deploy and establish the base. Keep in mind one very important change to the Prism Tanks in Red Resurrection - their range is much smaller and they are now an ANTI-TANK vehicle than anti-structure artillery. Another thing you must focus in this mission are the Kirovs in the skies, very fast in Red Resurrection that can wreck your base quickly when you have no proper anti-air around. You might also use the Refinery and the War Factory west to your starting position, they can be somewhat useful and free building speed from War Factory is always a bonus. To finish this mission you can garrison the buildings around the Soviet base, most of the crucial structures like the Nuclear Reactor will be in range of your GI and GGIs in structures. And remember to keep your Tanya out of the Desolators and Terror Drones in this mission, losing Tanya means in instant mission failure and restarting from scratch.
