Cavalcadence plays Dove 2: Heartthrob! (Zone 1)
For anybody who's interested in custom Cadences (or other characters), the official NecroDancer FAQ has some info about creating custom characters, and even has a link to the pinned thread on the official forums, where people have posted some of their custom creations:

So... for a while, I wasn't quite sure if it could be done... but apparently it is possible to unlock the Heartthrob achievement ("Have 10 heart containers at the same time") outside of Hardcore Mode (HCM)! =)
So if you're interested in unlocking this achievement, but you're still working on your NecroDancer skills and have a lot of trouble beating HCM... you can actually unlock the Heartthrob achievement just by playing non-HCM Zone 1! Do note, however, that you'll probably have to play it over and over and over again, because you're basically waiting for a short string of VERY good luck... so of course, don't expect it to happen immediately. =)
In other words, if you're good enough to beat HCM relatively consistently, I'd probably recommend trying for Heartthrob in HCM, mainly because less luck overall is needed to achieve it in HCM (I've gotten to 9 hearts twice with Cadence, and once with Dove, during runs when I wasn't specifically trying for Heartthrob).
Anyway, this video is the actual Zone 1 run that unlocked the Heartthrob achievement for me. It took me a LONG time to get a run this lucky (i.e. I probably should've tried for the achievement in HCM instead... but I really was curious as to whether it could be done in non-HCM Zone 1, so... =) ). And as it turns out, this run was slightly luckier than I actually needed, since it gave me 6 extra hearts, when I only needed 5. =)
As far as character choice... I used Dove, whose advantages (Crystal Shovel, and one free item per shop) probably make this achievement slightly easier. But if you feel more comfortable with another character (Dove does have the disadvantage of not having a damaging weapon!), someone like Cadence or Bard should work as well. Using Cadence, I've actually gotten to 9 hearts at least a couple of times in non-HCM Zone 1... so with a little more luck (like getting a double-heart in a shop instead of a single-heart), getting to 10 definitely should be possible.
The Zone 1 mini-bosses I encountered during this run were:
- Direbat, Green Dragon, and Minotaur.
"Heartthrob" was achieved (Zone 1, Level 2) at around: 2:13
Some notes and possible points of interest:
0:07 Zone 1, Level 1
0:20 +1 Heart Container (Shop) = 6 total
1:13 First coin multiplier lost (Bat shatters Frost Charm)
1:31 Mini-boss: Direbat
1:36 Zone 1, Level 2
2:07 +2 Heart Containers (Health Shop) = 8 total
2:13 +2 Heart Containers (Shop) = 10 total
2:15 Heartthrob! (BTW, the recording software I was using didn't record the Steam notification, but this is where it appeared (right after getting max health to 10 hearts))
2:37 Mini-boss: Green Dragon
2:50 Zone 1, Level 3
3:09 I completely forgot about the fact that I had a Bomb Spell, or I would've dropped one here (to destroy the Shrine of Sacrifice). By the time I remembered, the Wraith had appeared, complicating things a bit more for me. =p
3:25 First damage taken (Orange Slime)
3:34 +1 Heart Container (Shrine of Sacrifice) = 10 total (would've been 11, except that 10 is the maximum... =) )
4:19 Mini-boss: Minotaur
4:33 Zone 1 completed!
