0Kirov CGN was the pride of the Russian (and formerly, Soviet) navy, the most powerful and largest cruiser in the world, nuclear powered and loaded with anti-ship missiles. The only thing bigger would be an aircraft carrier. While a sub can sink her with two or three torpedoes, what about other surface crafts?

But let's try a destroyer first. Arleigh Burke class DDG, Flight IIA. No ASROC, NO TLAM, extra SM-1 and extra SM-2.
After IDing Kirov on radar, I simply enabled air defense on auto, then concentrated on sending the SM-2s in antiship mode as fast as I can. The Kirov didn't even last two minutes.
Okay, that's too easy... Let's put up... one Arleigh Burke DDG Flight IIA against... TWO Kirovs. No ASROC, NO TLAM, extra SM-1 and extra SM-2.
Seems the two Kirovs are side by side, and I keep spamming the SM-2s in antiship mode. And... It does work. Both Kirovs sank in just a few minutes.
Okay, seems we need to shrink our side... Let's try a Frigate... Oliver Hazard Perry class (late/Long Hull). Upon IDing the ship, I spammed ALL of my Harpoons and all of my SM-1s (except a few I sent out to intercept antiship missiles) and somehow NONE of them got through. I defended myself with CIWS, so it's now a matter of gun duel.
I started firing at 15 km, and the 3 inch gun went to rapid fire. Boom. After the twelve or so hit, Kirov blew up and sank.
Maybe I should try this with a Knox-class frigate!
