Celeste Strawberry Jam Collab: Beginner Lobby Gym/Library + Green Levels
2Last month I finally worked up the nerve to play Celeste, not knowing how deep I'd get. Turns out I really liked it, played pretty much the entire thing, and still want to play more Celeste.
Fortunately, Celeste has a huge modding community, so there's a ton of custom content to dig into. A couple of folks suggested jumping right into the Strawberry Jam Collab, which is a huge collection that raised the bar perhaps even higher than some folks thought possible.
I know for certain I won't be playing the entirety of SJ, as I've seen folks playing its most difficult lobby and that is decidedly not for me. However, I'm hoping that I can clear at least the lower 2 lobbies; we'll see how much further I get than that.

One reason I'm giving SJ a try is because it includes pretty much all of the tutorials and reference material a player could want... as evidenced by half of my first stream being spent in the library. The amount of stuff in there is honestly a bit overwhelming, but fortunately each lobby also has its own gym focusing on specific strategies you'll need to understand to complete that lobby's levels.
In addition to each lobby being organized by difficulty, levels within each lobby are further indicated as easy (green), intermediate (yellow), or difficult (red). I naturally opted to start out with the beginner lobby's green levels, and they were very reasonable for the most part, and had some really neat ideas, amazing aesthetics, and great music. This stuff is easily on par with vanilla Celeste in terms of design quality.
I'm really looking forward to playing more maps and seeing what other cool ideas the community has come up with.
