Perhaps one of the best racing games on Atari’s handheld, RoadBlasters made the switch from the arcade to the Lynx in 1990. And surprisingly, the game didn’t lose much speed. RoadBlasters is a screamer on the Lynx, moving with a pace and smoothness that was unparalleled for handheld video games at the time. The objective is to reach the finish line, but that’s easier said than done—each course is filled with cars, bombs and even roadside turrets trying to bring you down. Fortunately, you have an airborne pal who drops you weapon upgrade from a helicopter. Be sure to catch them…or catch a butt-whooping. RoadBlasters is a single-player game.
