Without spoiling anything, this boss is probably the last "real" boss in the game. The last few bosses are not as hard due to what I'll call "story reasons". Actually getting to the last few bosses is harder than the bosses themselves.

Anyway, the Tarascus is the evil(?) counterpart to the Taranis. It's main gimmick is that transforms three times, basically mimicking your machine gun / grenade launcher / heavy cannon loadout. The Machine Gun form has the ability to delay your gunners. The Grenade Launcher form has the ability to inflict Fear. The Heavy Cannon has no special effects, but starts with five points of Armor and causes the most damage out of all the forms.

The Tarascus' other gimmick is that it has a secondary cannon called the Managarm. Unlike the main tank, the Managarm does not change forms. Instead, it starts off with three points of armor and gives you three turns before it uses a very dangerous attack. You'll want to disable the Managarm as soon as possible, but since the Managarm cannot be removed permanently (it will always regenerate, with full armor, after a set number of turns) it's always a persistent threat in this fight.

This fight doesn't seem too bad if you still have Boron and Hannah. Megaton Blast helps tremendously with this fight (and if you don't have it yet, Overload is at least good for speedkilling the Managarm). If you don't have either character, you're kinda screwed. You can kind of make do without Boron, since there are a few other AOE attackers (Wappa, Malt, Jin, Socks), but you really need Hannah for the Fear healing during the second phase. I guess it's still possible to win, but you'd probably need to use a LOT of resources to last the second phase without a Fear healing move.
