Mystia's Izakaya? More like Mystia's "Egg-zakaya"!

...Sorry for the awful pun. Anyway, here's English gameplay of Touhou Mystia's Izakaya and its final boss. The game is fun though a bit repetitive and long (I apparently spent 30 hours just getting through the main campaign). Despite having just finished the game, I think I might need to have another go since the game was JUST updated (with English support for the DLC)

My general strategy for this boss was:

-Phase 1: Set one dish and one drink so I can easily handle the customers while I prepare the personalized dishes for Phase 2

-Phase 2: Rely on the dishes I prepared in Phase 1 (and also pray for good RNG)

-Phase 3: Give egg

If you're asking about details, for phase 1:
-Someone told me you can create dishes, even if you don't put them on the menu, so long as you have the ingredients and you use the right cooking utensil. Knowing this is very useful, as you can make personalized dishes without customers trying to ask for them.

-You can choose to set only one dish on the menu. It's not normally practical, and some stages will actually lose you customers if you do this (e.g. the SDM stall has the Fairy Maids who will not buy anything if you don't have any low cost, Sweet menu items), but it works here.

-You can do the same for drinks though, unlike dishes, there's a chance that customers will still ask for Green Tea. This happens more frequently if you put only one really expensive drink on the menu, presumably because they can't afford the drink. This is why, during normal play, it's better to have multiple cheap drinks than to only stock expensive drinks

-You want to use the Night Sparrow Kitchen set for the personalized dishes. That kitchen set allows you to ignore the special customer's specifications and only target their favorite traits.

On phase 2:
-It's best to have a few recipes that work for multiple characters. Here's the recipes I had:

--Fish and Pork Skewer: good for Wriggle, Chen and Rumia. Wriggle likes hers with Egg, Cicada and Honey. Rumia likes hers with Cicada, Flour and Egg, and Chen like it with Honey and Butter.

--Miso Tofu: good for Keine, Kasen and Akyuu. Keine likes it with Lunar Herb or Gingko, Kasen likes it with Radish and Lunar Herb, Akyuu likes it with Lunar Herb, Honey and Udumbara.

--Pink Riceball: good for Reimu, Cirno, Mokou and Marisa. Reimu likes hers with Honey and Udumbara. Cirno likes hers with Ice, Honey and Cicadas. Mokou likes hers with Chili and Grape/Peach. Marisa likes hers with Truffle and Chili

--Power Soup: good for Meiling and Suika. Suika likes hers with Radish, Meiling likes hers with Flour

-The remaining characters (Rinnosuke, Tenshi, Patchy, Tewi and Kaguya) require their own dishes. According to my notes, Patchy is easily satisfied with the base version of the Kedama Ice Cream recipe. For the others:

-Tenshi: Udumbara Cake with Dew and Peach/Grape
-Tewi: Mochi with Ice and Udumbara
-Kaguya: Shiroi Yuki with Udumbara
-Rinnosuke: Pork Donburi with specialized ingredients. I would personally ignore Rinnosuke because he doesn't actually have a punishment spellcard to hit you with...

On phase 3:
-Give Egg like it's LostWord Yuyuko selfishly hoarding an infinite number of egg dishes during an Easter event

Phase 2 is easily the nastiest phase and very RNG dependent. Despite how it looks, Wriggle's punishment spellcard is actually slightly helpful (only because if she kicks out all the other customers, you won't be eating consecutive punishment attacks). This is especially helpful if she spawns with the first wave, since it means she can buy some extra time to prepare dishes.

Anyway, Mystia's Izakaya is a very good game and I recommend people buy it if they can.
