Part 7: Journey for the Masamine
Time to return to the Middle Ages. The war against the Fiendlord has begun and now Guardia is facing off against them. We do what we can to help by first providing food and morale. Once that’s done then the battle begins.
We meet Ozzie, one of Magus’ Generals and we have a few battles against his mooks before taking on the boss Zombor. Zombor has two weakness: Ice for the top, Fire for the bottom. Focus on the head first. When you take it down, it’ll use MP Buster to drain all your MP. Afterwards take down the bottom and that’s that.
Your journey isn’t over. You need to find the whereabouts of the hero. After getting some info, your next bet is to head for Denadoro Mountains. You find the hero “Tata” who’s running away. We continue on, battling monsters along the way. When we reach the top, we find the Masamune but two child feel we aren’t worthy of it. So we must prove ourselves.
The first battle has you taking on Masa & Mune separately. Focus your attacks on one of them. Watch out for the X-Strike they pull off. Afterwards they will do a Fu-si-on HA and fuse together. This fusion is even harder but not as difficult for you to deal with. He will gather whirlwind energy for a powerful attack. Use a Wind Slash to blast it away. Other than that, not a hard fight. Heal when things get bad and you’ll be fine.
After beating them, you obtain the Masamune or rather a piece of it. Now we must find the other piece and it’s in Frog’s hands. Head to Frog’s house and after a talk, open a compartment to reveal the second half. That’s when you learn that Melchior’s name is on it. Return to the Present to Melchior’s house and he says in order to restore it, you must find some Dreamstone. They can be found in prehistoric times.
