Welcome back to a new installment of "Gamer Addict Weekly"!
It's episode 3.5 of Chrono Trigger (クロノトリガー), (and sorry again for last week's absence. Power outages are never planned.)
But after taking out Magus and his army, Azala and his Black Tyrano, we now know that Lavos did come crashing down from space (and on the day we defeat Azala again, none the less). Leaving a gigantic crater from the aftermath of it's impact. Crono and Ayla inspect the ruins to find another time gate left in it's wake.
Knowing this is the only way of finding out what happens next, they travel through the gate to find the earth frozen, covered in a frozen tundra. Finding very little, one thinks that they've reached a dead end, until they find weird technology that seems beyond it's time.
What turns out to be very similar to Lucca's telepod, Crono and his friends are transported to a completely different place.
What is this place floating amongst the clouds? The scenery is lush with plant life abd many coolors. Everyone seems to be quite pleasant, either talking about their research or the latest gossip within the kingdom. It seems as if at one time in the world's history they were going to finally bring peace to the world.
That is until we find out about the darkness within the royal family, and how the bonds between family and followers has crumbled ever since the king's death. To make matters worse, an unknown calling himself a prophet has warn of our hero's arrival, making things even more difficult for them once they are kicked out and can no longer travel to that time period using the gate...
How will Crono and his friends get back without access to the time portal?
