It's episode 3.3 of Chrono Trigger (クロノトリガー), and this week we are headed back to the past..

(3 of 4) The Reptites & the Gate Key; Nizbel stands in the way from Azala & their ticket Home

After a long night of fun and partying, our heroes wake up to find that the Gate Key that allows them to travel from period to period has gone missing. Addressing Ayla and heading for the Reptite's Lair, they run into Ayla's associate Kino, whom incidentally took the key out of jealousy, but when Ayla demands that he give it back, he confesses that the reptites had indeed stolen it and taken it to their lair.

Through this ancient tower, they slowly progress through many levels infested with enemies and traps to mislead them. However after diligent pursuance, they finally discover that Azala, the leader of the Reptites does in fact have the key.

Riddled with disbelief in the ape's ability to create such advanced technology, he demands where it came from, but he does not like the answer given nor does he accept it. Believing he's been dooped by the apes into a lie, he calls for his muscle to rid him of his problems.

Can our heroes get the Gate Key back, and will Azala accept the truth of the human's future dominance?
