CiB Game Boy Theater - Radar Mission and Flintstones: King Rock Treasure Island (Episode 98)
The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.
I told you folks - after 90+ episodes of Game Boy Theater, we're finally to the point where we're going to be seeing a lot of good (or, at the very least, interesting) games! Radar Mission is 100% the board game Battleship, but I wholly approve of this version. It has some extra flair with the cutscenes, it looks great, and the computer doesn't seem to cheat -too- much. There's not much else to say considering how simple it is, but a great start to the episode!
Flintstones: King Rock Treasure Island is another Tiato-made Flintstones game that is way better than it has any right to be. After some initial trouble figuring out that you can stun enemies with your first hit (pretty unique, but odd), this game ended up being very solid all the way around. I would suggest playing this game any way you can, and only suggest picking up the cartridge if you're a pretty big collector. Thanks for watching!
