CiB Game Boy Theater - Super Off-Road and WWF King of the Ring (Episode 47)
The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.
Hey look, it's a racing game... on the Game Boy! So right off the bat, you'll notice that the game looks pretty good, but those good looks come at a price. It runs -so- poorly. I swear, sometimes it dips to the single frames per second. A big ol' yikes. However, being able to actual finish or beat a race is pretty cool, and definitely better than most racing games we've tried out so far. I could see playing this one. Maybe.
And here we have it, folks - WWF King of the Ring, by the amazing people at LJN. I'll let the video speak for itself here. I originally thought: 'Oh, there's a lot of choices for wrestlers', but boy, was I fooled. There is literally nothing to do this game. It is an empty, vacuous, wasteland of nothingness. I would go as far to say that this is easily one of the 5 worst games we've played so far, if not the actual worst. This might be the worst game on the Game Boy. After all we've endured... that's saying something. Thanks for watching!
