Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.

Monkey Magic has the makings to be a decently fun game, but is hampered by a really linear 2D set up, somewhat frustrating fighting controls, and most importantly, a camera that is far too close to the action.

This was released in 1999 by Sunsoft. I'm not sure if we mentioned the date in the video, but that is a relatively late release. Looking at it, I thought this was a very -early- PS1 release, like 1995, 1996. The fact that it was made after Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VIII, etc --- yikes. I was ready to give it the benefit of the doubt but I'm going to give it a nice hard pass. Love the style of the game, but it's just not fun nowadays. Thanks for watching!
