CiB Let's Try - 3D Baseball (PS1)
Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
3D Baseball is actually one of the very last Sega Saturn games I got, so I was surprised to find this already part of the collection for PS1. The developer, Crystal Dynamics, should be familiar to some - they did the Tomb Raider reboot as well as Marvel's Avengers from 2020. Talk about a long-standing company...
This is a fun baseball game! It runs well, it has a competent announcer, the 5 different views are pretty cool --- I have very little negative to say. It is a great mixture of simulation and arcade, much like my favorite baseball game, World Series Baseball for Saturn. It's not super expensive for PS1, so if you're looking for a down to earth baseball game for PS1 for some reason - this is a good bet! Thanks for watching.
