CiB Let's Try - Rollcage Stage II (PS1)
Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
Can you believe we started with Rollcage Stage II before trying the original Rollcage? Immersion: ruined. Story: ruined.
I think I mention it on the video, but I feel like, for whatever reason, the N64 could handle racing games better --- that being said, Rollcage: Stage II isn't bad at all on PS1, I just feel like it might be a more pleasant experience on the N64. It's developed by Attention to Detail, published by Midway - I don't know if that sentence makes you like the game more or less, but... there it is. So yeah, it's a competent racing game. Maybe one day we'll play the original, and we can compare to our heart's content --- thanks for watching!
