CiB Let's Try - The Grinch (PS1)
The Grinch (PS1) was released in late 2000, making it a pretty late PS1 release.
It was developed by Behaviour Interactive (who made a billion kids/Nick games), and published by Konami.
Overall, The Grinch has some soul, that's for sure. Lots of voice acting, lots of care taken towards the origin material. There's a lot of positives here. Unfortunately, the game seems like a real slog of a collect-a-thon, and making the main move a butt slam would get annoying VERY quickly.
It sounds like a minor complaint, but instead of just running into the boxes (a la Spyro), or hitting them, having to do two moves (a jump and a slam) to open or collect any box is just a bit much.
Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised, and can definitely recommend this for any Grinch, Dr. Seuss, or fans of collect-a-thon games!
