Punky Skunk was released in February 1998 for the PS1, over a year after it was released in Japan, for some reason. It was published by Ukiyotei (Skyblazer, a few Metal Slug games, and Spawn for SNES), and published by Jaleco (a company that published a million games, and none of super huge note).

This is a pretty rare game, all things considered, and it makes sense. Playstation was really not a fan of 2D games on their big, bad, 3D system, but Punky Skunk is a cute, bright game that definitely seems like a lot of fun. Definitely getting a lot of Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse here. This is one that you should play any way you can, if you're looking for a solid, fun, seemingly relatively easy platformer.
