Crash 4 Flashback Tapes Are Really Rad

It plays more smoothly than any previous entry, and new features like a permanently playable Coco and fun powered-up masks help it stand out. But perhaps the best additions to the Crash games are the Flashback Tapes.
These are optional challenge levels where you’re not only tasked with reaching the goal, but also with breaking every box along the way. They’re like an evolution of Bonus Rounds. Combine the crates, Crash’s platforming, and the deeper lore baked into the tapes, and you’ve got a winning recipe for both the players and developer Toys for Bob.
After assisting Vicarious Visions in recreating the first three games with the N. Sane Trilogy, Toys for Bob was given the green light to create a brand-new Crash adventure, and the team cooked up a winner. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X/S.
