CRONOS The New Dawn | 4K Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
53Bloober Team has made some of my favorite horror games. Recently everyone knows them from the Silent Hill 2 remake, but my personal favorite original game of theirs has got to be Observer who stars my fellow countryman Rutger Hauer in it. With Cronos New Dawn they are heading into another new and original direction as we head to an alternative 1980's distopian Poland in an adventure that is very clearly inspired by Dead Space.
We head to an abandoned city that is overflowing with gross monsters and mutants. A weird virus has spread amongst the citizens and we are sent through time and space in order to find out more. The game can be quite challenging, but this makes it to where Cronos feels like an old school survival horror where you clearly need to properly prepare for your journey as you have a very limited item capacity.
The game is great and takes its time and offers some nice puzzles and exploration that feels very rewarding due to how scarce most of the resources are.
