FINAL FANTASY X REMASTERED | 4K Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
69I have loved Final Fantasy ever since my first introduction to the series with Final Fantasy 9. Only a year later the next installment in the form of Final Fantasy 10 was released on the brand new PlayStation 2. The graphics were unbelievable for its time and the characters all had voice acting as well. Though Final Fantasy 9 is still my favorite, I adore Final Fantasy 10 as well and this is probably my second favorite FF game.
The story is mostly told through world building instead of a focus on character driven stories or plot driven ones. Now that does not mean that the characters lack depth and each actually has a proper story and history to them. But the main way that the story is told is through the introduction of the mysterious world of Spira and its many customs, history and faith. We play as Tidus who is a star athlete in a sport known as Blitzball. One fateful day we are transported to an unknown world when the city of Tidus is attacked by a giant monster.
Here we meet the lovely Yuna and her band of guardians who embark on a long pilgrimage in order to stop the monster Sin. The first 7 or 8 hours of this game are pure perfection with never a segment lasting too long and there always being a buildup to a massive event happening with the Crusaders. Some find the voice acting a bit cringe and though it is indeed not top notch everywhere, I do love it and think all the characters have distinct personalities. I also adore the ending and its bittersweet tone which can be applied to real life as well. I am happy that I have finally archived another Final Fantasy game as these are never short and take a while to complete and archive.
