Nathaniel plays and talks his way through Crystalis for the Game Boy Color, which is a remake of the NES cult classic RPG. Part 8 of 10.

I think we've slipped into reruns, because Jack is wandering around a fortress and fighting Sabera and Mado again. To try to improve ratings for this season, we try killing off the main character. This does not go over well with our focus group (me), so we pull a [insert name of any superhero ever] and bring Jack back from the dead.

Jack plunges deeper into the heart of the fortress, and while he's at it, the heart of evil villain Karmine (with a sword). Through some weird mystical juju, Kensu has been transformed into a slime, but not the kind of slime that can be healed by the fruit Jack is carrying around in case he himself gets slimed. Jack swears this is the last time he's doing ANYTHING for Kensu and restores him to his cranky old self before heading back into the mountains to become a hermit. No, wait; I mean, search for treasure.
