43Hello and welcome to the 2nd episode of counterstrike in depth. In this episode we are looking at a micro smg from the untied states of america for the terrorist on a budget. This is the Mac-10.
The mac-10 originates from the united states of america with the official title of the M10. it was designed in 1964 by the Military Armament Corporation and began production in 1970. it was chambered in a variety of calibers including 45.acp and 9mm. The version in game is the 45. acp variant, as indicated by the 30 round magazine as opposed to the 32 9mm magazine. The weapon was later banned by the usa as part of the assault weapon bans on 1994 due to its lack of sporting ability, low weight and threaded barrel allowing a suppressor. Now however it is a popular weapon used by criminal gangs and terrorist organisations across the globe.
In counterstrike global offensive the mac 10 is a terrorist weapon only and can be purchased in the sub-machine gun section for $1050. it has a 30 round magazine, with an additional 100 rounds giving a total of 130 rounds. The mac 10 fires at 800 rounds per minute and can be reloaded in 2.6 seconds. The bullets do to little damage at range to make tap firing ineffective, you will always be outclassed by rifles and better SMG's. Spaying with the mac-10 is definitely your only tactic, the recoil goes up and to the left so pulling down and to the right slightly while in close quarters gives you the best chance of landing a kill.
The Mac-10 does however have the cheapest price tag of any weapon for the terrorists outside of the hand guns. It also still has the added economy benefits of an SMG, meaning the weapon is cheap and grants $600 per kill, making it a good choice if you need to earn some cash on economy rounds. With that being said there are better SMG's for a small amount of extra cash making it hard to recommend. But if you are in the 2nd round of a match it can be a great way to ensure you can buy on round 3.
The Mac-10 is a spray and pray bargain bin weapon and is not to be underestimated in close quarters. If the chips are down and you need high automatic fire in a cheap package, the mac-10 maybe a steal.
