In this video we are looking at a popular side arm that no wasteland wanderer should be with out, an automatic handgun that is highly customizable and has a less then common calibre, this is the 10mm pistol.
The 10mm cartridge is not the most popular round in the world, but its a real world calibre filling the gap between 9mm and 45.acp. Fast and hard hitting, it is the ultimate middle ground pistol calibre. It was developed in 1983 and is widely regarded as a hunting pistol round but has also seen use with police forces and a small time with the FBI.
In fallout 4 the 10mm pistol is likely to be the first firearm you discover in the wasteland and is often regarded as the default fallout pistol and is costs a very small amount of caps to purchase from a vendor. The 10 mm pistol is in the middle ground of handgun damage and can take out many lower level enemies with few shots such as bloat flies, molerats and even a well placed shot can take out a raider before he has the chance to raise his weapon. It contains 12 rounds in its magazine as standard and can be reloaded in a spritely 1.7 seconds.
The strength of the 10mm pistol is its versatility, with a huge collection of modifications for the 10mm pistol you can make the handgun that's perfect for you, including extended magazines, custom sights and even a fully automatic mod, to make it the ultimate sidearm. It is very easy to aim using the iron sights, however I do highly recommend a dot sight to help you aim out to long distance. Also I highly recommend the suppressor on the 10mm Pistol, to make it an accurate and silent handgun, perfect for taking out raiders on the edges of the settlement before moving in with the big guns.
It maybe an early tier weapon, and it may not have the most widely available ammunition, but out in the wastelands you need a reliable and trust worthy automatic handgun that packs a punch. If any enemy is pushing an inch in on you, make sure to only give them a centimeter.
