39Hello and welcome to the fifth of episode of “Counter Strike – In Depth”. Today we are looking at a german sub-machine gun of the modern age. An accurate and hard hitting smg that should satisfy all of your personal defence needs in a small, armour piercing package, this is the MP7.
The MP7 was created in 1999 by German manufacturer Heckler & Koch who are also famous for their designs of the UMP 45 and the extremely popular MP5. It fires a unique round, the HK 4.6 x 30mm Round that boast high armour penetration in a light package. The weapon is listed as a PDW, a personal defence weapon, and has become very popular with law enforcement and special forces teams across the globe.
In Counterstrike Global offensive, The MP7 is available for both teams and can be purchased in the sub-machine gun section for $1700 making it the most expensive sub-machine gun that still gives a $600 kill reward. It fires at 750 RPM and comes with four thirty round magazines, which can be reloaded in 3.15 seconds.
The MP7 has very high accuracy with a very tight circular recoil patten which makes it a perfect rushing weapon. It fires extremely accurately even while jumping and can easily be controlled while running directly forward. These traits will make it a perfect support player weapon, its cheap so you can fully buy grenades to help out your entry fragger and gives enough money per kill to ensure you can always can refill these grenades to help out your team every round.
Fully automatic is the way to go with this weapon, while it can be burst and tap fired to longer ranges, it being a submachine gun simply means its not worth risking those low damage shots. You have the speed and agility to get close to the enemy and spray them down with controlled fully automatic fire.
It may be expensive but it does have the highest armour penetration in close range for the sub-machine guns and the high $600 kill reward means this little PDW shouldn't be ignored.
Developed by on of the greatest sub-machine gun manufactures on the planet, the mp7 does indeed lives up to its older counter-parts. It may not be cheap for the SMG's, but it is still cheaper than any assault rifle and grants more money per-kill. So when you are “rushing b no stopping” like a blitzkrieg...embrace German efficiency.
