CULTIC Demo - Full Playthrough | Fun BLOOD-inspired retro FPS
11Greetings, everyone.
Today we have another demo playthrough, this time for a first person shooter game called CULTIC, clearly inspired by the likes of BLOOD, made by Jasozz Games, and published by 3D Realms.
I have no affiliation with this game or studio, just checking the demo myself because it looks like something I might enjoy.
It is a good time, with lots of demos available on Steam, with the Realms Deep 2021 event going on and all, so it’s a good chance to spend some time checking out some demos of upcoming indie titles, especially if you like old school FPS games.

Not sure if the demo will remain there forever, sometimes they don’t, but it’s still there as of the making of this video.
The game offers a quite peculiar Color Filter that it’s used on all of its official screenshots and trailers, but it can be disabled in game, if you don’t like it, and I reckon I prefer how it looks without the filter, but I need to give that filter a chance and try it out more.
The gameplay is quite similar to BLOOD, some new stuff in there, there are headshots though, so that’s a new thing compared to most old school FPS, and there’s also a bullet-time mechanic that happens sometimes when defeating an enemy, doesn’t last long though, so It’s not really very annoying.
We can also dodge while strafing, but I didn’t use that mechanic much myself, probably more suited for higher difficulties.
All in all, a promising indie FPS game in the same vein as BLOOD, with lots of crazy cultists to frag and make them explode in various ways.
Best to check the demo for yourselves if you think it may interest you, I definitely had fun with it, but I normally enjoy old school FPS games anyway.
