Black Out is a L4D1 that was ported over to L4D2... with some changes as well... which might explain a couple things...

(Forgot to enable the custom font when recording this map... so yeah...)

+Some unique events
+Short

-Bland and empty environments
-Lazy design choices...
-Graphical bug... misaligned particles being one example
-Navigational issues
-Finale was not that good in terms of gameplay or design...

This is a fairly old map, so I can forgive somethings... however, it was far from perfect back then... so the port obviously isn't much better...

Levels are short and bland, with navigation problem for both sides... and the changes to the port aren't much of an improvement... in fact the "find the fuse" on Chapter 1 can be very tedious (I got lucky while recording)... and the finale ripped straight from Dark Carnival is just lazy...

So Black Out... I wouldn't necessarily recommend it... but it is short, so if you want to have a quick round then that is something I suppose...
