Custom SMW level (misc. #3): Beetle Boot Byway
8I got the inspiration for this level from my recent Super Mario Bros. 3 LP. I know I'm not the only one disappointed by the Kuribo's Shoe not only never showing up in any other levels but never even in any future Mario games. (No, the ice skate in Super Mario 3D World, the Super Boot in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and that one part near the end of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story don't count.) Well, there just happens to actually be a custom sprite version of the shoe and the Goomba wearing it, albeit a glitchy one. (In addition to making the sprite work with xkas/Asar, I fixed some of the bugs when I used it for this, but not all of them...you might notice at least one in the video, and it still doesn't interact with extended sprites correctly.) And since I've never seen the sprite used in any SMW hacks, I figured I had to make a Kuribo's Shoe level. I'm not sure where the beetles came in, though...maybe I just added them for the alliteration.
