Let's Analyze Dynomite Deluxe - Part 7: Scrambled Brains
We're about ready to wrap up Stomped Mode...only 3 more levels to go (28, 29, and 30, or 18, 19, and 20 in the online version). The second and third of these are too bad. The first one, however...I'm been dreading that one. Level 28, Castle Dynomite, might have a high eggs-per-stomp counter, but it has terrifyingly little leniency, especially for the first half of the level (though I suppose that makes it one of the more actually puzzle-oriented levels). After that ordeal, the last two levels are pretty straightforward, though not to be underestimated. After clearing all 30 levels, you are simply taken back to level 1 to play through the whole batch all over again, except with one less egg per stomp (though it can't go any lower than 4, so don't worry about level 27 becoming impossible).
Now, Normal and Hard on Stomped mode are...actually really lame. They actually just start you on a later level; level 1 in Normal is just level 10 in Easy, and level 1 in Hard is level 19 in Easy, meaning that instead of playing through the full 30 levels, you're only playing through 21 or 12, which...seems like an odd design choice. (Though it certainly does reflect on the old difficulty labeling of Normal, Hard, and Expert.) In any case, we're done with Stomped Mode, which just leaves the Fossil Challenge, and we'll start that in the next video.
