We're on the home stretch of our adventure! Just four more levels to go, and they won't make things easy for us (though they won't make things as hard as you'd think, either). Level 17 is almost completely filled with stationary blue enemies, so it's another one that is easy but a strain on resources. Level 18, the final randomly-generated level, is full of tons of moving walls and creature creation traps that are actually helpful because they help you break through the walls. Level 19 is "The Water Labyrinth", a level entirely made up of narrow passages between bodies of water, though it's actually a lot more linear than it looks. And then there is level 20. It is full of monsters, there is a statue, there are traps and moving walls, and what I said about tunnels back in level 13 comes back to bite us here. Get all the keys (or at least enough to beat the level if you had extras beforehand), and you can enter the chamber containing the Crown of Kroz, the artifact and goal marker for this game. Yay, we win!

We also wrap up another Let's Play. Return to Kroz (and, by extension, the Kroz series in general) is interesting and kind of weird. As I've mentioned before, it's not a game I would even expect to like if I hadn't played it for myself. It's certainly not any sort of platformer or RPG. And given that it was released in 1990, it certainly suffers from some questionable game design decisions (adventure games of the era don't seem to be exactly known for their fairness), such as invisible traps and the possibility of a level being impossible to clear before you even start it. And the less said about the randomly-generated levels, the better. Of course, being a DOS game, and an ASCII-based one at that, the graphics are pretty primitive (seriously, this game makes the original Mega Man look like Crysis), there is no music at all, and the sound effects range from being tolerable to earsplitting...but if you can overlook these things, you can find some good fun here. Also, being the fourth game in the series and the first of the second trilogy, it is much better designed than the earlier ones...and on that note, the fact that there are 6 more games where this came from means that there is plenty more to play. Will I ever LP any of the other Kroz games? Probably, if I keep at it long enough. I finished the fifth and sixth games, and they were both enjoyable enough that I'd certainly consider doing them in the future if the opportunity arose. Also, if anyone wants me to show off anything that didn't come up in the playthrough (such as what the tablet in level 3 says or what happens when you fall down a bottomless pit), feel free to mention it; I don't plan on doing an extra video, but I could if people want me to. For now, though...thank you for watching, and I will see you next time!
