Let's Play Rabbit Rampage - Part 5: Furry Finale
We're up to the last two levels of the game now! We start with level 9, which takes place in a sort of haunted house...ish...building? This one can be kind of annoying, because there is a near-constant barrage of objects falling on you, some of which do pretty large chunks of damage. Interestingly, the falling objects are actually controlled by the cat enemies in the level, which are apparently bringing you bad luck. (Mind you, this is something I actually never realized until I recorded this episode...I never put that together.) Getting rid of the cats with basic attacks or the level-specific paintbrush item is sometimes a good idea. At least this level does not have a boss. The final one, however, consists of little else. Level 10 is the last level in the game, and for being the last one, it really isn't that difficult if you keep on your toes. Here, we find out that Daffy Duck was the animator this whole time and the one putting Bugs Bunny through all this trouble (perhaps as revenge for the "Duck Amuck" cartoon?). So we must defeat him! The catch is that he will simply redraw himself and respawn every time you do...unless you first destroy all of the paint cans and tubes in the level. Each one takes 4 hits.
With that, we have beaten Rabbit Rampage. It's a pretty decent little game, and one that has some slight nostalgia value because I first played it a long time ago as a kid at a friend's house. There are two main problems with the game, as I mentioned in the outro. The main one is the lack of a save system. True, if you're competent at 2D platformers, you probably will be able to beat the game without losing all of your lives, especially if you max out the starting life count in the options menu (which also affects your spare continues, of which you have 3), but you still have to do it in one sitting, unless you leave the console on (or are emulating it). The other issue is that this game does not seem to be very good at difficulty progression. The 10 levels are not even close to being perfectly ordered by difficulty (my ranking would probably be something like 8, 1, 3, 5, 10, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9). I suppose it at least means you get breathers after some of the trickier levels, which is especially helpful when you can't save...? If you can get over those things, though, it's pretty fun.
And with that, another Let's Play comes to a close...and by now, so too is my other one finished. I actually do already have a pretty good idea what I will do next and even for most of the rest of the year, but hey, you and I will get to enjoy those projects when they come, no? So for now, thanks for watching, and I will see you next time!

(P.S. If anyone has any questions about the game or would like me to show off things I missed or didn't encounter, then please say so and I will see what I can do. For now, though, don't expect any extras. Also, you might notice that I specifically avoided making any rabbit-related puns in the video titles, mainly because the actual cartoons used just about every possible one you could think of.)
