This is From's idea of a poison swamp in Dark Souls 3. You can't run when it gets deep, only walk, which is annoying. The saving grace is the Dagger's weapon art, which lets you dash even when you run out of FP, so use it to your advantage.
The path I take is kind of out of order - the first torch that I extinguish can be done last, but if you take the normal pathway, you run across a giant Gru walking in the swamp. Much easier for me to go the way I'm going.
Obviously I have trouble with multiple fast enemies in this game. I'm not good at Bloodborne style combat, and have trouble with the Abyss Watchers because of how fast they are. Pardon me for that. They're vulnerable to lightning and backstabs, so a Lightning Dagger will do well for you if you're a Faith build playing in a cycle above NG. Otherwise, a Dagger with your build's strength will work.
While looking over the video, I realized that I called the wolf covenant the Farrons of Watchdog. Whoops. That's what happens when you're talking while playing. I know they're the Watchdogs of Farron.
Last, the music during the Abyss Watchers is outstanding. By far one of my favorite tracks in the game.
