I was actually spoiled on Anor Londo being in the game before release in 2016. I was looking at the covenants in one of the wikis and it mentioned it, taking away some of the shock. I was disappointed to lose the surprise I would have felt here.


Aldrich was remarkably spammy with his magic blasts while I was recording, which is why the fight took so long. I couldn't get close to him because he kept unexpectedly blasting me back, and I couldn't roll through. Sorry about that. You can see Gwyndolin's body attached to the top of Aldrich too, meaning that canonically, you didn't kill him in Dark Souls.


Since I mentioned it, after you kill the Londor Pale Shade in both invasions, his armor set is where you talk with Yoel in Firelink Shrine.


If you're not doing the Lord of Hollows questline, and you've progressed Anri's normal path, his summon sign will be outside the cathedral doors of Anor Londo, and you can help him defeat Aldrich in his world.
