So, after getting our very first weapon (and the one that I’ll probably use throughout most of the game), we then head off to re-establish the tram system which will open up the rest of the ship. We will be using this tram throughout the game; at the end of each level throughout the game, we board the tram to move onwards, very similar to BioShock 1 and 2. Before we head out further into the Ishimura, we meet up back with Hammond and Kendra and devise up a plan. As you might expect, our plan involves us splitting up into two different groups; Kendra and Hammond are going to head down to the bridge to try their best to repair it while Isaac has to head out by himself to repair the ship that we arrived here with. I’m not expert at ships but, I thought we had a controlled crash getting onto this very ship so I don’t know how much I could do by myself. That isn’t even mentioning the fact that there are monstrous creatures trying to murder me; Have none of these people watched a Horror film? All jokes aside, we are in a pretty messed up situation and I too would like to get off of this morbid ship. Along the way, we find a shopping terminal and get introduced to the upgrading within the game. The upgrade system is like a spider web, where each corner indicates a particular upgrade (Power, Capacity etc.) but require nodes to unlock them. That being said, you also have to use Nodes in order to unlock a pathway to the upgrade. The nodes can also be used to open doors that have quite a bit of loot within them so you have to manage them fairly well (I’m probably going to mess them up sometime in the future so, this is my apology in advance). The shop itself sells armor upgrades, health, ammo, weapons and a couple of other goodies that we can unlock throughout the game.
