Welcome back to Delta Force: Task Force Dagger, a military simulation, tactical shooter created by Novalogic in 2002. The game was originally meant to serve as a Standalone expansion to its predecessor, Delta Force: Land Warrior. It boasts a wide variety of weaponry and selection of character classes from various specialised military forces from around the world, all with their own unique traits and abilities. The game follows the team in question, a joint task force called Viper 33, that works to disassemble terrorist and extremist militia units across various parts of the world. The game, in contrast to older titles such as the original Delta Force, is more action-oriented and accessible, being made on the same engine as Land Warrior, even though it boasts greater design and rendering technology at the cost of simplified gameplay.
Dagger has tasked Viper 33 with raiding the Gamberi Daug radio command & control facility which relays instructions to enemies around the Kabul Province.
There is also a recon element to the mission where stealth is of importance. Viper 33 must infiltrate the facility on foot, silently under the cover of night, and recover any enemy intelligence available before lasing the target for CAS bombing.
Silent is the keyword as Dagger does not want the enemies to destroy intelligence before Viper 33 can obtain it from them. Furthermore, there is also the presence of a token number of civilians who help in operating the facility, and who must not be accidentally killed or injured.
Once done, Viper 33 is to move out for extraction.
Here is a detailed report on Operation Gamberi Daug:
