Welcome back to Delta Force: Task Force Dagger, a military simulation and tactical shooter created by Novalogic in 2002. The game was originally meant to serve as a Standalone expansion to its predecessor, Delta Force: Land Warrior. It boasts a wide variety of weaponry and selection of character classes from various specialised military forces from around the world, all with their own unique traits and abilities. The game follows the team in question, a joint task force called Viper 33, that works to disassemble terrorist and extremist militia units across various parts of the world. The game, in contrast to older titles such as the original Delta Force, is more action-oriented and accessible, being made on the same engine as Land Warrior, even though it boasts greater design and rendering technology at the cost of simplified gameplay.
HUMINT, as gathered by Dagger, indicates that the enemy has been resupplying their depots in and around the Khost area of Afghanistan using trucks and old mountain passes from Pakistan.
Viper 33 has been tasked with clearing and capturing the Lahaza bridge in a lightning raid to be conducted in the middle of the night, and setting up an ambush point to eliminate incoming trucks full of ammunition for the enemy forces.
Furthermore, he is to perform patrolling operations around the vicinity with the aid of one other Delta Force operative.
