The game was originally meant to serve as a Standalone expansion to its predecessor, Delta Force: Land Warrior. It boasts a wide variety of weaponry and selection of character classes from various specialised military forces from around the world, all with their own unique traits and abilities. The game, in contrast to older titles such as the original Delta Force, is more action-oriented and accessible, being made on the same engine as Land Warrior, even though it boasts greater design and rendering technology at the cost of simplified gameplay.
