Demiath's Unboxing, Part #6
Since I genuinely liked the first Assassin's Creed (even though it was more of a "tourist simulator" than an actual game) I've really been looking forward to the sequel, which will probably be my primary game of choice for the weekends to come. From what I've heard, the vast majority of AC1's problems (its sheer repetitiveness being the most obvious) have been dealt with and virtually every gameplay mechanic is now refined and put to much better use. And seeing as I was never that bothered by the original game's flaws (in fact, I even found myself doing more optional side quests than usual), I expect the sequel to be an even more enjoyable experience for me gameplay-wise.
Above all, however, it's still the promise of meticulously realized historical settings which attracts me the most; especially since I've actually been to two of the places (Florence once and Rome twice, to be specific) represented in the game. As you might expect, I can't wait to find out if the game world is as close to the real thing as it seems to be...
