Demon: the Fallen - Fiend Lores - Lore and Visage of Patterns
In this episode we're taking a look at one of the Lores of the Fourth House, the Lore of Patterns, which allows the Fiends to discern whether a certain type of event will occur in the near future, to determine which factors led to a certain outcome (provided they are on the very location where it happened), to read fate in their immediate area, to read the fate of a person or place as it will happen without external interference within the next couple of days, and finally, to manipulate the flow of time within a limited area, making it flow faster, slower, or expanding it continuously, effectively making everything outside of this area freeze in time.

I absolutely love these Evocations! They depend on responsible, mature and collaborative use so much that they can either enhance the game and make it absolutely amazing for everyone at the table, or ruin it completely, especially for the storyteller, who has to improvise and think on their feet constantly. We're not talking a +2 to aggravated damage here, we're talking foresight, information, fate, attention to detail and narration, improvisation, and, of course, the player's choices and responsibilities that come with such powers, which can impact the game and story greatly.
