Demon: the Fallen - Devil Lores - Lore and Visage of the Celestials
In this episode we're taking a look at one of the Lores of the First House, the Lore of the Celestials, which is like a swiss army knife when it comes to faith and evocations. Since this is a House lore and can serve as a character's primary, we're also having a look at the Visage (Apocalyptic Form) that it confers.
The descriptions of each dot/evocation and apocalyptic form features are read from the Core Rulebook, which you can find right here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/636/Demon-The-Fallen
One of the most versatile powers in the game, evoking the Lore of the Celestials allows a character to: detect and read the faith of living beings within a certain radius, to communicate with (or harm) living beings by sending visions, to enhance or usurp the evocations of others, to channel faith into a pure, white flame, that might just radiate uncontrollably from the evoker, and finally, to hijack or reflect another Fallen's evocations.
The Visage of the Celestials enhances a character's social attributes and perception, lowering the difficulties of most evocations on our list. The High Torment forms enhance a character's physicality, making them stronger, more resilient, able to inflict horrendous injuries, or so horrifying that other beings freeze up in their presence.
Both the Lore and the Visage are ridiculously awesome and effective. It's no wonder the Devils rule! (ba dum tss :D)
Enjoy!
