The Incunabulum Kupalam must not fall into the wrong hands, Tremere makes good use of Goratrix, Saulot is revealed to be as evil as can be, and Kupala "lets the characters off with a warning" for binding him with the geomantic web and sapping his power for 800 years. He's just happy to be free, I guess... (except he's not, really)
It's a very disappointing end to an otherwise amazing journey, whether we're talking lore, or an actual chronicle that storytellers can run for their players. So many amazing details and ideas we just forgotten along the way. It is so sad and this had so much potential! This ending was probably written by the Baali, to ruin the story and bring about a potential reader's own little Gehenna of frustration. Reading this has been a pain. But such is the price to be paid for knowledge and lore, I guess.
