I've always had a fascination with space simulators as a kid, but never really got into them, aside from Freelancer. That is definitely something I gotta replay and review in the near future as well. I've found out about what seems to be the 3 big space simulators series: Wing Commander, Star Wars, and this, Freespace. This somehow seemed to be the more accessible of the bunch, so I've decided to try it out. To this day it is still being played and modded for, especially with the engine of the sequel. That must mean that this is quite a loved game. Do I agree with them? Stay tuned to find out.
