The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time wasn't necessarily the first game of my childhood, but it might have been the biggest game of it. I was like 6-7 when it came out and I remember playing it multiple times with it being my first N64 game. It was revolutionary for its time. The first entry in the Zelda series made by Eiji Aonuma, and the first 3D one. It did mechanics that are still used to this day, such as the Z-targeting system. It blew my mind back then. Still, I wanted to see how this was now. The graphics honestly didn't age that well, and I wanted to see if at least the gameplay was still just as mindblowing.

The plot partially builds upon the one from A Link to the Past. There were three goddesses that ascended into Hyrule that represented power, wisdom, and courage. With this they were able to create life, law, and the land itself. When they returned to the heavens, they left behind the triforce. The guardian spirit is a great deku tree in the deep forest of Hyrule. Among them are the kokori, the children of the great forest. Each of them has their own guardian fairy, except for one: Link. Link then has a nightmare of someone carrying a girl on horseback, and another, evil looking rider appears before him. Link is then woken up by a fairy that says the great deku tree wants to speak to him. And there starts his grand adventure.

I've seen complaints by quite a few comments on other YouTube videos about it not aging well, or that it is way too obtuse. Is it still awesome, or are those complaints correct? Stay tuned to find out.
