I'm sure that many of you know who Edgar Allen Poe is. His stories can be quite entertaining, and surprisingly dark when you look past stuff like The Raven. Although I haven't read a lot of his work, I found myself quite a fan of Roger Corman's films, with the king of horror himself: Vincent Price. I remember hearing about this game ages ago. It had such a grim look to it, thanks to its claymation style of graphics that aged extremely well. To make this seem even more fascinating, one of the voice actors is the avant-garde proto-punk author William S. Burroughs. I knew I had to try it out after finding this out, even if I'm not that most well-versed in Poe's work.

In this there are two states of consciousness. You are slowly losing your mind in the waking world when taken to a mansion, which makes it seem odd as the plot is a sort of romance. You play an unnamed protagaonist. You meet your uncle named Edwin, your younger brother named Henry, and a woman named Elise. Henry is asking for Elise's hand in marriage, but it is a problematic one, and Edwin disapproves. The drama then slowly unravels. You then go through unsettling dreams. These trigger the stories of Edgar Allen Poe. The stories are are The Cask of Amontillado, Berenice, and The Tell-Tale Heart.

Is this a good adaptation of Poe's work? Find out here.
